We travel there annually to pick out the finest ones to add to our selection. They are made from fast drying, breathable rayon and measure approximately 66" x 46", not including the fringe. Sarongs or Pareos in Tahitian, or Lava Lava in Hawaiian are traditionally used as shawls, bathing suit cover-ups, beach wraps and covers, or as tablecloths. These one of a kind, hand painted sarong wraps are ideal cover-ups for a luau, tropical wedding, even in health clubs, as loveseat covers, window/door covers, dorm decorations, or wall hangings.

The average commercial sarong is cut somewhere between 50-55 inches. Then the edge is fringed from that length. Many women find this length to be shorter than is comfortable to tie the sarong in the more popular styles such as around the neck to make a beach cover-up. The fringed edge can also knot and tear easily while washing. We cut our sarongs over 60" and finish the edge with a rolled seam so we retain the full length of the sarong and wash and care is easy!

To make tying a sarong easy, we include a coconut sarong buckle with each sarong. This coconut buckle is made from actual coconut shell and is great for tying a sarong. Just pull the corners of the sarong through the holes of the buckle and wrap around your waist and tie or pull it up under your arms, twist the 2 ends, and wrap them around your neck and tie.
